Maryland is home to two Audubon Centers that work to connect people with nature. Science-based educational programming, public programs, lectures, bird watching, canoe trips and more- Maryland's Audubon Centers lead the way in National Audubon Society's efforts to strategically connect people with nature so they may become informed and active stewards of the critical habitats on which birds and others wildlife depend.


Pickering Creek Audubon Center

Open 365 days a year from sun-up to sun-down for walking, nature photography, enjoying the quiet and more, Pickering Creek Audubon Center is located Easton, Maryland on the Eastern Shore. The 400 acre propoerty is a working farm that includes tidal and nontidal wetlands, mature woodland, warm season grass meadows, agricultural fields, herb garden, and waterfront trails. Recent wildlife sightings include Bobolinks, Bald Eagles and more. Pickering offers a full suite of programs for the public including lectures, canoe trips, farm tours and more. Read more.

Patterson Park Audubon Center
For almost two hundred years, the 155-acre park located in Southeast Baltimore City has been one of Baltimore’s most intensively used greenspaces, playing a vital role in the lives of the surrounding communities. Patterson Park Audubon Center offers a full suite of science based education programs for the shcools within walking distance of the park and also provides public programs, including bird walks, Tiny Tot programs, and family and adult programs for the community.
