Programs to interest the entire family, opportunities for youth to volunteer in the Park and varied programs to stimulate minds, both young and old. Register by calling 410-558-2473 or by email (unless otherwise noted).

FAMILY PROGRAMS
Fall Youth Volunteer Day
Saturday, September 26th 9-11am at the Castle Playground in Patterson Park
The Park needs your help again kids! Join Patterson Park Audubon and the Friends of Patterson Park to clean up the Playground's gardens and trees. A craft and snacks will serve as a great reward for a morning of hard work!

Bird Walk in the Park- Best Month for Migration
Saturday, September 26th, 8:00- 9:30 AM
A great walk to see many visiting species

Family Program- Pumpkin Carving in the Park
Saturday, October 24th, 10-11am Meet at the Pagoda
Join Audubon at the Pagoda and get creative with your neighborhood friends as you pick out your pumpkin and carve it so it is ready for Halloween!
$5 per pumpkin, registration required.

Bird Walk in the Park- Fall Migration
Saturday, October 31st, 8:00- 9:30 AM
Late fall migration sometimes finds woodcocks in the Park!

Bird Walk in the Park- Thanksgiving Weekend
Saturday, November 28th, 8:00- 9:30 AM
Often a quite month in the Park, but Hermit Thrush and Fox Sparrow are possible.

Family Program- Holiday Ornament Making
Saturday, December 12th, 10-11am Meet at the Virginia Baker Recreation Center.
Create festive ornaments using natural and recycled materials. This one is fun for the whole family. All ages welcome!
$5 donation requested, registration required.

Ladies' Night- Deck the Halls
Wednesday, December 9th, 7-9pm
Join us at three… one of Patterson Park’s favorite restaurants www.threebythepark.com to make holiday wreaths and ornaments from natural products- a great way to get ready for the holidays and great gift ideas!
Enjoy the fun while enjoying great food and happy hour drink prices.
$10 fee, registration required.

Bird Walk in the Park- Winter Visitors
Saturday, December 19th, 8:00- 9:30 AM
The winter regulars will be spotted, and perhaps a duck or two.

TINY TOT PROGRAMS
Come explore the wonders of nature with Audubon! Tiny Tot Safari programs consist of interactive programs designed to connect children, ages 2-5 years, with nature. During each session, we discuss a seasonally themed topic, take a hike, read a story, and make a craft. We ask that an adult is present with their child/children during the program and request a $5 donation per child, $2 each additional child. To register, call us at 410-558-BIRD (2473) or email us.

Flying Things
Saturday, September 26th , 10-11am
Exploring the Park, we'll find many critters that fly around from plant to plant and up above the trees.

B is for Bat
Thursday, Oct 22nd , 9:30-10:30am OR Saturday, October 31st , 10-11am
A bat is a mammal just like humans! How are they like us and how are they different? Through games, a craft and a story, we’ll discover why bats are great animals to have around.

Fall Adventure
Thursday, November 19th, 9:30-10:30am OR Saturday, November 14th, 10-11am
The fall is a great time to explore the outdoors! Learn how the Park is getting ready for the cold months ahead.

What does it mean to be wild?

Thursday, December 17th, 9:30-10:30am OR Saturday, December 19th, 10-11am
Would a squirrel make a good pet? Would a dog be happy living in the park? Together we will find out what wild really means in the animal world.
